A Christian TV Guide

Psalms 101:3: I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

TV has the capability of contaminating your mind and your life.

Romans 1:32: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

If you watch and enjoy the sins of others it can wear down your conscience. You may have read several articles I have written on the evils of TV. There is some Biblical programming available. I have 2 Christian? channels available in my home. Between those two channels there are only 2 or 3 programs each day that are Biblical and beneficial. I have created my own Christian TV Guide with the times and channel numbers of those few programs. I would suggest that you create your own Christian TV Guide. You may be able to find more Biblical programs on Christian radio stations than the TV. I don*t want to watch or listen to anything Satan wants me to. You can find Biblical websites online. I am blessed by Thru The Bible Radio with J. Vernon McGee, Vance Havner*s sermons, Charles Haddon Spurgeon*s Devotionals, and the church I attend has a website: www.northmesabc.com. There are many other Biblical websites.

I made an effort some years ago to use Facebook. I did not have the expertise to make it do what I wanted it to do. But I have now been blessed by Biblical truth, wisdom and clean humor on the Facebook page of my brother in the Lord and mentor, Horst Adler. Try it, you will like it.

Matthew 6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The passage does not just mean first chronologically, it also means first in the order of importance at all times. When Biblical inspiration is unavailable you CAN still control what you think about. With His help you can think about what God wants you to think about instead of what Satan wants you to think about.

Psalms 1:1-6: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

2 Corinthians 10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Proverbs 23:6-7: Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

1 Corinthians 10:13: There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
